ANDY POWER-TATE

Andy was born in Redcar England and is one of eight children. He left home at 16 to serve his time as an Apprentice jockey. Andy rode at various Racecourses during his career including Newbury and Chepstow. "The greatest horse I have ever ridden" Andy boasts, is the horse named Generous (Ever Ready Derby winner). "He had muscle to spare". Andy met his wife on horse back in November 1989. "It was love at first sight" Andy says and they were married in August 1991. Due to an increase in weight Andy knew it was time to find a new profession. Since that day he has owned various businesses and became experienced as a joiner. "I contracted Carpal Tunnel Syndrome whilst working as a joiner" Andy explains, "I ended up having both wrists operated on and during the recovery process I found myself writing silly scenarios and sketches". This is where the idea for a professional double act first came to mind.

Andy went back to working as a handy person/joiner but the seed had been sown. He took a gamble and decided to try his hand at acting to follow his dream  in November 2011. Since that time he has gained many film credits, short and feature films. Some of the roles in feature films he played are Mr Fell an obnoxious Maths teacher in the film Scott & Sid (2018 release) and various character voices including the Station Announcer in Sacha Baron Cohen's film GRIMSBY (2016).

His love of theatre began at an early age when he pestered his primary school teacher to give him a part in Rumplestiltskin. He was around 10 years old at the time. He gave in and cast Andy as the Arch Bishop.

Since turning professional he has played numerous characters on stage, Andy's favourite's being comedy roles.

In 39 Steps he played a lot of characters including Mr Memory and 3 different women. Andy loves Pantomime. His favourite role is playing one of the ugly sisters in Cinderella.

A PEUGEOT commercial filmed in Valencia Spain was exciting. He played one of the Slag Brothers from the Hanna-Barbera's  Wacky Races cartoon.

Andy's other commercial appearance was playing a Husband in an Injury claims advert. In April 2011 He was part of a T.V. show named CBBC Driving Academy. Other T.V. work includes I.T.V. Odd One In hosted by Bradley Walsh and The Magicians for BBC.

GARETH ARTHURS

Gareth was born in the city of Alberton, Johannesburg, South Africa. Parents are both British and met whilst working over there. Growing up in South Africa, Gareth has very little memory of what life was like as he moved to England when he was 7 in August 1999 to pursue a strong education and better future.

When he was younger he had a strong accent and always remembered his year 3 teacher correcting him everytime he would address her as "Maam". Gareth always had an interest in performing and in primary school he joined the choir and was the only boy! The head teacher would occasionally walk through and say "Afternoon ladies and Gareth". In year 6 he performed in his first production as Mr Ash in Planet Breath Easy, a play about healthy living.

Once in secondary school, from year 7 he always tried to audition for a part in the school show, but to be told he was not ready. However, after his persistence he gained various roles in Little Shop of Horrors and was given the name "Allstar".

Gareth was never a sporty person, during secondary PE lessons he'd always managed to "forget his kit" unless it was swimming of course!

He left School and gained his Performing Arts A levels from college and then began his acting career when he was 18 in 2010 where he landed his first role in pantomime and since worked every year during the Christmas season. His favourite and recent roles to date are Ugly Sister in Cinderella,

Cogsworth Beauty and the Beast and Sidney Sprout in Snow White. He enjoys comedy but also likes the serious roles. Gareth has many credits in theatre including touring and role play work. Some credits include Rev. Moore Footloose: The Musical, Mr. Sheinkopf FAME: The Musical, Judd BOUNCERS Remix.

Gareth spent 4 seasons working with Parkdean Resorts at Southerness Holiday Park (Scotland) as male vocalist and his last season as Assistant Entertainment Manager. The work created fun and interactive family entertainment where he gained the love for presenting and singing. Gareth loves to entertain where he can and even at the age of four gathered a crowd at his local restaurant whilst dancing to the background music! In his spare time Gareth teaches drama with Stagecoach Theatre Arts to children of various ages, learning new skills within the industry. When Gareth first met Andy, he was introduced to the Tate family and tried the Teesside tradition of a "Parmo". Also Gareth got on with Andy's eldest daughter and the rest they say is history and Gareth and Charlotte got married in 2019 and now Andy is Gareth's father-In-Law, how weird is that!
